The great Réderie of Amiens will take place on sunday 1 october. And you are welcome !
A FEW FACTS
Even if the first Amiens’s flea market (« réderie » in French) took place in 1909, it only became an institution in the 1960s thanks to the dynamism of the Quartier de Halles shop keepers’ association.
The « réderie d’Amiens » is held twice a year, in April and October. 51 streets in the town centre are closed to welcome some 500 professional dealers and 2,000 casual traders from all over France. So be prepared for a long hike !
With over 80,000 visitors looking for bargains the autumn « rèderie d’Amiens » is the second biggest event of its kind after Lille’s Braderie.
This year it is on Sunday, October 1th 2017 as soon as 5 a.m. that car- boot sale amateurs _ not only from all over the region but also from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada and even Australia_ will gather.
You cannot miss this unique annual rendezvous where the most surprising items and collectibles will be displayed for your greatest pleasure. So join us and don’t forget your torch because it’s going to be dark at 5a.m.! And you won’t be alone_ believe me! _ there will be many other intrepid bargain hunters out there.
